Lindsay Alec Troup is an English former professional rugby league footballer of the 1930s who at representative level has played for Great Britain, and England, and at club level for Barrow, playing at Second-row, or Loose forward/Lock, i.e. number 11 or 12, or 13, during the era of contested scrums.

Alec Troup won caps for England while at Barrow in 1934 against Australia, and France, in 1935 against Wales, in 1936 against Wales, and won caps for Great Britain while at Barrow in 1936 against New Zealand (2 matches).[1]

Challenge Cup final appearances

Alec Troup played left-Second-row, i.e. number 11 in Barrow's 4-7 defeat to Salford in the 1937–38 Challenge Cup final at Wembley on 7 May 1938.
